Code of Conduct
SNARL is committed to providing safe and enjoyable events for all attendees. The following rules and policies cited in the Code of Conduct are designed to create maintain a desirable environment. All attendees and team members of SNARL are subject to the following rules, regulations and decorum listed in the Code of Conduct. Violation of the Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to partial or full bans from event spaces at the organizers’ discretion.
Attendance
Welcome Ages: Our events are adult spaces and welcome to anyone over the age of 18, with alcoholic beverage consumption available to those over 21.
ID Check: Due SNARL’s age restriction and consumption of alcoholic beverages on site, photo IDs are required to enter. Failure to present a valid form of photo ID will result in denial of entry to event spaces. Valid forms of identification include:
- state-issued photo IDs or driver licenses.
- Military IDs.
- Passports and passport cards.
Wristbands: Wristbands are distributed at the door and must be worn and visible at all times during an event. 18+ wristbands allow for event entry, and 21+ wristbands allow for entry and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Decorum and Consent
Decorum: SNARL events are adult spaces. Light kink wear is permitted on the premises (harnesses, leather, pup hoods, etc.), but indecent exposure of sensitive areas (genetalia, bikini area, ect.) is strictly prohibited.
Consent: Dancing can get touchy. Explicit verbal consent is required at all times, and nonconsensual contact will result in an immediate and permanent ban, and involvement of authorities if needed. If you experience or suspect nonconsensual contact at an event, alert team members immediately or email snarlrave@gmail.com.
Respect: SNARL is a safe space for attendees of all backgrounds and identities. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and bigotry have no place at our events and will result in a permanent ban. If you experience or suspect hateful behavior at an event, alert team members immediately or email snarlrave@gmail.com.
Alcohol: Safe and responsible alcohol consumption is key to a good night out. We require attendees to drink responsibly in event spaces. If you believe an attendee or yourself are drinking irresponsibly, notify team members immediately. Alcohol consumption is strictly limited to those with 21+ wristbands, obtained at front-doors with a valid photo ID.
Venue, Technology, and Equipment
Venue: SNARL relies on local venues to provide spaces for events. Respecting the spaces our events operate within is key to maintaining a positive, continued relationship for future events. During events, we ask team members and attendees to:
- Be kind and respectful to venue employees.
- Throw trash in designated trash cans.
- Keep bathrooms tidy.
Attendees seen being disrespectful to venue spaces or staff are subject to temporary or permanent bans at organizer’s or venue’s discretion.
Venue Policy: Attendees are required to follow all rules and policies of an event’s hosting venue. Violation of venue policies and rules will result in disciplinary action at the venue’s discretion, and at event organizer’s discretion.
Technology and Equipment: SNARL utilizes technology and equipment from business partners, venues, and performers. Respecting technology and equipment is key to maintaining good relationships with partners, performers, and venues. We ask attendees:
- To be aware of surroundings.
- Not to touch audio technology.
- Not to go backstage unless specifically allowed by staff and performers.
- Notify team members if equipment / technology appears broken.
Personal Items and Onsite Storage
Onsite Storage: Onsite storage for personal items (fursuits, totes, clothing, etc.) will be provided at no charge for SNARL events. To minimize lost items, we ask attendees:
- Keep items in the same spot throughout the event.
- Periodically check on your items.
- Place your items away from any similar looking items (Ex. totes, duffle bags).
Personal Items: While SNARL provides onsite storage for personal items such as fursuit totes, clothes, etc., attendees are responsible for keeping track of belongings throughout events.
Lost or Stolen Items: SNARL has a lost and found, but is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you have lost an item, ask a team member or reach out to snarlrave@gmail.com with the subject line “Lost Item(s).”
Photography, Press, and Media
Photography and Videography: Smile, you’re on camera! SNARL works with photographers and videographers for promotional materials. Please dress in a way you’re comfortable being photographed. If you are uncomfortable being photgraphed within event spaces, please speak to a team member. If there are photos published on our website or Furtrack you would like removed, contact snarlrave@gmail.com with the subject line “Photo / Video Removal Request.”
Press and Media: To respect the privacy of SNARL attendees, external press and media entry into event spaces must be pre-approved by staff. If a press organization would like access to event spaces, contact snarlrave@gmail.com with the subject line “Press Inquiry” or “Media Inquiry” as applicable.
Unauthorized Press and Media: If you see individuals recording or interviewing attendees without a staff or press badge, notify SNARL staff immediately.
